Compare revisions and reuse recipe codes

Every change is kept as its own revision. Switch between them while the track plays, and copy a recipe code to reuse settings.

Updated

The revision list

Nothing in the workspace is overwritten. The first master and every change you save or describe become separate revisions, listed newest first.

Each row shows where the revision came from (Default, Manual or Prompt), any change of engineer, intensity or EQ, and one column per control. A dash means the control is the same as in the first master, so the values you see are the ones that differ. The last column shows the estimated loudness in LUFS.

Compare while the track plays

Select a revision to hear it. Playback carries on from the same spot, which makes small differences easy to hear. With a revision selected, the ↑ and ↓ keys move through the list.

Selecting a revision also sets the controls to its settings, so you can keep adjusting from any earlier version.

Select the star on a revision to mark the ones you like. When you finalize, the full track is rendered with the revision you have selected.

Recipe codes

The Recipe code in the Track panel is a 12-character code, such as 65RN-7HHD-69XC, that holds every setting: all 11 controls, the engineer, the intensity and the EQ. Select Copy to copy it.

Use it to keep a note of a sound you like, or to start your next track from the same settings, which helps an EP or album sound consistent. The code includes any changes you haven’t saved yet.

Codes are not case-sensitive, and the last character is a check, so a mistyped code is rejected rather than giving you different settings by accident.
