A LANDR alternative for AI mastering
LANDR is an established AI mastering service, and for some people it is the right choice. This page says who, lists what we could confirm on their site, and explains where MasteringKit is different.
Who should pick which
LANDR
- You want mastering inside your DAW. LANDR lists a mastering plugin.
- You need a 16-bit WAV download. LANDR lists 16-bit and 24-bit WAV; our downloads are WAV 24-bit and MP3 320.
- You already use LANDR for other things. Its pricing page lists distribution and collaboration among its features.
MasteringKit
- You want to hear your song mastered and adjust it before deciding anything: 30-second preview, no account.
- You prefer picking a named engineer style and turning individual controls over choosing a general style.
- You want to describe the sound in words, or master against a reference track.

How MasteringKit differs
We built around listening first. You upload, hear 30 seconds mastered in about a minute and compare it with your original at the same spot, all before creating an account. Downloading the full track is the only thing behind a plan.
Instead of one style menu, you pick from six engineers, each with a character such as Warm analog, then adjust 11 controls and a six-band EQ.
It is a smaller product. We do not distribute music or sell plugins, and we do not claim to replace a human mastering engineer for an album with a budget.
LANDR alternative questions
It depends on what you need. LANDR offers a DAW plugin and more download formats. We are better if you want a free preview with engineer styles and detailed controls before committing. Try both on the same song.
Its mastering page says you can upload a song and preview the master for free, and pay to download. So does MasteringKit, with a 30-second preview.
Yes. The preview and the controls need no account. A free account adds 10 extra revisions per track. Downloads need a paid plan.
Unlimited is $14 a month or $43 a year. Unlimited Plus is $22 a month or $65 a year. We do not list other services’ prices because they change.
