Finalize mastering and download
Render the full-length master from the revision you picked, then download it as a 24-bit WAV or a 320 kbps MP3, ready to send to your distributor.
When you are happy with a revision, select it in the revision list and select Finalize mastering at the bottom of the Track panel. The same action is available as Finalize at the top of the workspace.
Finalizing renders the whole track, from start to finish, with the settings of the selected revision and in full quality. The preview only covers 30 seconds, so this is the first time the complete song is processed.
Finalizing needs a paid plan. On a free account, the button opens the plan options. See plans, upgrading and cancelling.
Download
The full master is usually ready a minute or two later. Download it from your projects as:
- WAV, 24-bit: use this for distribution to streaming services and stores, and for anything you might process again.
- MP3, 320 kbps: for sharing, previews and quick listening.
You can download a finished master again later from your projects, for as long as the files are kept. How long we keep your files has the details.
Before you release
- Listen to the whole master, not only the preview section. Pay attention to the loudest part and the very start and end.
- Compare it with a released track you like, at matched volume.
- Send the WAV, not the MP3, to your distributor.
